Just wondering what is everyone's view on the death penalty.
Being in the Law Enforcement field I am a big supporter of it what are yalls opinions.

Im for it. I dont think that prisoners should sit in prison their hole life if they committed a really bad crime. Whats the use of us paying for them to live in prison without them having to worry about anything.

well how bad would a crime have to be in order for a criminal to recieve the death pentaly? Stealing a Skittle [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] or killing someone?...but seriously, what is the definition of a "bad crime"...if someone is religious, wouldn't stealing a bag of M&M's fromone justify "a bad crime" because after all it is a sin one way or another...sorry, kinda got off subject with the M&M thing

I really have mixed feelings about it. Years ago I would say no to the death penalty. But as I get older and hear about crimes against innocent little children like rape and torture then I see it as if you take a life like it is nothing then you shouldn't care to give up your life. So I guess in some situations I would agree in it. Many that oppose it I wonder if it was one of their loved ones would they still be against it? I also think that if every state enforced capital punishmet then maybe crime wouldn't be as high. Today many think that they can kill, torture, rape innocent victims and just get life in prison. Which they have it made compared to what they did to others. I agree also they shouldn't sit in prison for years before they are put to death. If they are sentenced to die then put them to death as soon as possible and get it over with.

I'm against the death penalty. . . you guys should all check out the movie "The Life of David Gale" it's a movie about the death penalty and I'm not saying it will make you change your mind but it definitely makes you think.
I would say more females are against it than males. Just an observation.
